15 Jul, 2026

The Catalan artist joins forces with Riot Games to release a remix in Spanish and Catalan of «Villain», the official song of the video game that has already accumulated millions of views.
The theme song will serve to welcome the VALORANT Champions Tour EMEA finals, a massive event that will be held for the first time in Spain at the end of August.
The official live presentation will take place in the iconic Badalona Olympic Pavilion, the historic venue for the 1992 Olympic Games and a stage for concerts by internationally renowned artists.
Urban music and digital entertainment are once again crossing paths in an unprecedented collaboration. Riot Games today announced its partnership with Mushkaa, one of the most influential and promising female voices in the current music scene, to create a new remix of «Villain (Take the Shot),» the acclaimed official anthem of the global video game phenomenon, VALORANT.
This new version injects a distinctly local sound and identity into the original song, combining Spanish and Catalan verses with the competitive energy of a video game that already boasts a global community of over 35 million monthly active players. The original 2024 track (created by Barns Courtney, ARB4, and Eytan Peled) is already a massive hit with over 6.6 million streams on Spotify. Now, Mushka takes the reins, along with some of the original producers, to rewrite the track for the summer.
Since its launch in 2020, VALORANT has become one of the fastest-growing competitive gaming titles in the world. Its global esports circuit, the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT), brings together the best teams in the world, competing to attract millions of fans across the globe. 28 million viewers tuned in online to watch the VALORANT Champions Tour in Paris, highlighting the scale and hype surrounding competitive VALORANT worldwide.
A cultural and musical milestone in Barcelona
After selling out at Barcelona’s Sant Jordi Club and topping the stages of leading festivals like Sónar, Festival Vida, and Observa Festival with his albums Sexy Sensible and Nova Bossa, Mushkaa takes on the challenge of uniting Catalan culture and the global reach of urban pop in this production.
The release of this remix is no coincidence: it serves as the perfect prelude to celebrating that, for the first time ever, VALORANT is bringing an event of this scale to Barcelona. The  VALORANT Champions Tour EMEA finals will leave their usual venue in Berlin to land in the Catalan capital from August 28 to 30, 2026 .
The venue chosen for this event and the song’s debut couldn’t be more historic. It will take place in the  Badalona Olympic Arena , a legendary venue for culture and sport in Spain that has hosted everything from the historic basketball tournament of the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games to FIBA European Championships (Eurobasket) and tours by major international music stars.
Mushkaa will perform the Villain remix live for the first time ever on the stage of the Olympic Arena in front of thousands of fans during the finals weekend, merging the excitement of live music with the adrenaline of electronic sports.
Mushkaa’s Villain remix joins the Riot Games Music catalog, which features over 1,000 songs, including nearly 60 tracks for VALORANT from artists such as Katseye, BUNT, Grabbitz, bbno$, Audrey Nuna, eaJ, Ashnikko, and many more.
Tickets to attend the VCT EMEA finals in Barcelona and experience Mushka’s live show are now available through the official website at riot.com/vctbcn.
Statements from Mushkaa:
» When Riot approached me about reinterpreting Villain, I immediately loved the idea of bringing something of my own universe to a song that already means so much to the VALORANT community. It was important to me that this version truly reflects who I am as an artist, celebrating both the Spanish and Catalan language and culture, without losing the energy and intensity that make the original song so powerful.»
Being able to premiere this remix live in Barcelona, in front of thousands of fans during the VCT EMEA Stage 2 Finals, makes this collaboration even more special. Barcelona has been a very important part of my career, so being able to welcome one of the biggest esports events in the world through music is something I’m incredibly proud of .
